Dr. Angelino Viceisza (pronounced: Vee-Say-Za) is Professor of Economics at Spelman College, Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Affiliate of J-PAL at MIT, and Associate Editor at Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He has held visiting appointments at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Duke University, the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and MIT.

An experimental and behavioral economist, Dr. Viceisza's research explores household finance, development economics, and entrepreneurship, with work published in leading journals including the Journal of Economic Perspectives and Journal of Development Economics. Dr. Viceisza has secured more than $9 million in external funding from organizations including the National Science Foundation, Mastercard, the World Bank, and the Kauffman Foundation.

 

Dr. Viceisza is the founder and director of VLab, a virtual research laboratory, and is recognized for excellence in both teaching and mentorship.
